The assemblage is 75 % Syrah (yields of about 35hl/ha) and 25 % Grenache (yields of about 30hl/ha) An incredibly aromatic nose, with notes of violet flower, liquorice, spices and fresh blackberry. The palate has a fresh and velvety texture, very balanced and very subtle, with aromas of strawberry, raspberry and violet flower, with a long and slightly peppery finish.
"Superb blueberry fruit, black cherry and soft tannin. Excellent purity and persists – punches way above its weight. Beautifully layered and lengthy. Proves that there is great terroir in Ventoux. Very impressive. Drink 2019 - 2029. 17+ points." (Richard Hemming, Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages, October 2018)
"A blend of 75% Syrah and 25% Grenache, the 2017 Ventoux Artemia features scents of violets and white pepper complemented by a base of blueberry and raspberry fruit. Medium to full-bodied, with a smooth, appealing texture and a silky finish, it should drink well for 7-8 years. Drink 2019 - 2028. 91 points." (Joe Czerwinski, The Wine Advocate, 10th Sep 2020)
