"100% Carignan from an old-vine 1-ha vineyard. Liquorice and chicory-root 'coffee' and hedgerow fruit. Smells quite earthy. Wow! This is one helluva concentrated wine! It actually gave me goosebumps down my spine on first sip. Earthy but vibrating with freshness and intensity. Dark tangy sweetness, like tamarind paste, sumac, pomegranate molasses, black-fig jam folded through with espresso, a tiny dab of Bovril (beef-extract) on rye bread. Spine-tingling.
