This is a great South African find from Tom's trip out to the Cape recently. It's a million miles away from jammy Shiraz styles you often find in the area - this is a mineral, fresh, tightly wound syrah from premium Swartland fruit, made by Donovan Rall. Refreshing acidity, fine tannins, peppery spice and mountain herbs.Such a delight, and great on it's own or with charcuterie.
