Modern, supple wines with silky-soft tannins and fantastic varietal focus are the hallmarks of Gerhard Pittnauer's wines. His wines are primarily focused around St Laurent but also feature Blaufränkisch and Pinot Noir, and display remarkable character. Gerhard has enthusiastically embraced biodynamic cultivation and is also lowering the amount of sulphur he uses in his wines.
This intriguing non-vintage blend of two native grape varieties, Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt, which has a sappy succulence and crunch with a vivacious streak of blackberries and licorice. Good acidity equals good food wine, which would match with many dishes very well.
