An interesting twist on a classic style of whiskey. This 13-year old Irish single is matured in bourbon barrels before being transferred in Japanese Mizunara oak casks to be finished. Mizunara, Japanese for "water oak", is highly sought after and the trees from which the barrels are made need to be 200 years old before they are cut down. This oak then confers complex aromas of sandalwood, coconut and incense on the finished whiskey.
