Alice and Olivier De Moor are winemakers with a cult status in France, growing natural Chardonnay and Aligoté in Chablis that has attained something of a mythical status. Vendangeur Masqué is their negoce project.
This wine was inspired by travelling around in their little van and listening to Duke Ellington’s track Caravan. It includes Riesling from Luc Faller (an organic Alsatian grower), Sauvignon and Chardonnay from an organic grower in the Yonne (Burgundy), whose farm is located just next to Alice and Olivier’s estate, and Aligoté from Alice and Olivier’s own estate in the Chablis. A glorious, fuller-bodied white with plenty going on, it's unfiltered and unfined, with a tiny amount of sulphur added at bottling.
