Bodega Urbina has a history that spans 150 years, with winemaking taking place as early as 1870 across, four generations. Urbina, a family-owned, single estate winery, has 75 hectares of vineyards, 65 of Tempranillo, and 10 of Graziano, Mazuelo and Viura.
The wine is made from the selection of Tempranillo grapes. Fermented at 28¼ C and macerated for 28 days in stainless steel tanks, the wine remains in American oak barrels for 12 months, then it is bottled and remains in the bottle for a minimum of 6 months before being released on the market. Cherry-ruby colour, balanced, hints of black currant and damson on the palate, good structure and persistence, with a touch of vanilla and mint from the oak. This wine comes from vines that are less than 20 years old, but all from our vineyards, which are of great quality.
