Bodega Urbina has a history that spans 150 years, with winemaking taking place as early as 1870 across four generations. Urbina, a family-owned, single estate winery, has 75 hectares of vineyards, 65 of Tempranillo, and 10 of Graziano, Mazuelo and Viura.
This wine comes from the best grapes, from vineyards over 20 years old. It spends two years in French and American oak barrels and then is left to rest further in bottle in the Bodega.
Medium intensity nose, of great finesse where the black fruit (plum and cherry) appears perfectly balanced with the oak wood, complex aroma with mineral notes, truffle and spices. The palate confirms the notes perceived on the nose, with good volume and a silky mid-palate, with refreshing acidity, elegant and very long. Very round soft, deft tannin; the maximum expression of harmony and balance, wonderfully aged and released by the Bodega ready to drink.
