The grapes were picked between late September and mid-October, given a long 30-day maceration and then aged for 12 months in oak barrels, around a third of them new. The estate has held HVE 3 certification since 2018 and is farmed sustainably, with no herbicides, no harmful chemical treatments, and mating disruption used in place of insecticides.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the glass it shows a mid to deep garnet colour with a paler rim. The nose is fresh and aromatic, with dark cherry and plum fruit layered with dried herbs, cracked black pepper and a nutty, hazelnut note from the oak, all unmistakably Pessac-Léognan in character. The palate is medium-bodied, opening with ripe, generous dark fruit, while the tannins are fine and silky with a gentle grip rather than any hardness.
