Herdade do Portocarro

Located between the boarders of the districts of Setubal and Evora, surrounded by green rice fields, Herdade do Portocarro has produced unquestionably distinctive wines from its very genesis. The project is based on a philosophy of production of finest wines in limited and exclusive quantities.

Peninsula de Setubal

The Peninsula de Setúbal, located southwest of Lisbon along Portugal’s Atlantic coast, is renowned for its distinctive and high-quality wines. It benefits from a Mediterranean climate with cooling maritime influences, which contribute to its unique terroir.
The area is particularly famous for its fortified wines, especially Muscat of Setúbal, made from the Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains grape. This wine is known for its rich, honeyed sweetness, complex aromas of dried fruits and nuts, and a smooth, luscious texture. It also produces notable reds from varieties like Castelão and Trincadeira, offering full-bodied wines with rich fruit flavours and balanced tannins.
