The fruit is hand-harvested, whole-bunch pressed to tank, and fermented with native yeasts before ageing on the lees, bottled unfined and unfiltered. This is Grüner Veltliner at its most joyful and least buttoned-up: fresh and fruity, limey and mineral-driven, with an unexpected richness, offering green apple, wet limestone, white pepper and fine green herbs. The palate is slender, juicy and ripe, with ripe citrus and a hint of Mirabelle framed by delicious white pepper. A light spritz gives it extra snap and energy. Phenolic ripeness and freshness are well balanced, and the finish is persistent and mineral.
