Orange Is the New Red - a collection of some of our favourite 'Orange' or skin-contact wines. The case includes 10% off and contains:

2 x Sybille Kuntz Orange Riesling Trocken 2021

Pale orangey gold. Intensely aromatic with apricot, orange and barley sugar. Tangy, sour-citrus flavours, lots of freshness and the tannins are just right for harmony. I think this would be a very versatile food wine. Long, chewy finish.

2 x Bolfan Aromano Organic Orange Zagorje 2016

The Pinot Gris and the Traminac (otherwise known as Gewurztraminer) have had a separate fermentation process in stainless steel tanks where the skins are fermented with the amber colour of the wine. Afterwards the blend is made in large wooden barrels of Slavonian oak. The wine is then aged in these barrels for ten months.

Starting with intense notes of apricot and spice, the wine is full-bodied but also has a softness, thanks to the ageing in oak barrels. The skin of the grapes is also with the juice, giving the wine pleasant soft tannins.

Very fresh nose, it is an orange wine that recalls spring herbs and oriental spices; on the palate, the salinity blends with the aftertaste of mandarin and orange. One litre bottle.
