Casel Figueira Antonio 2016
The Antonio is one of two whites Marta makes from her old vines (most in this are ancient!). The other being her re-introduced Vinhas Velhas.
So now, grapes from all the best vines, the truly ancient ones, form this cuvée. The wine is fermented naturally and aged in seasoned, large barrels, before being bottled unfiltered.
This is an immensely stylish (but not stylised) coiled spring, it’s terrific with simple seafood, from Sea Bass to Mussels.
