Domaine Patrick Javillier Cuvee Oligocene 2013
Description
This wine comes from different vineyards of Burgundy Côte d'Or appellation, located on the southern side of the Côte de Beaune. These terroirs consist of limestone soils. This is a distinguished wine on the nose and on the mouth is full, vigorous and very fresh, mineral and with very fine floral notes; it has a slight citrus aroma finish, persistent and very well balanced: truly an elegant burgundy wine. Patrick Javillier is one of Meursaults most consistent winemakers also one who usually offers some of its best "budget" wines. Patrick chose to begin early around 26 September in order to pick while the grapes were still healthy the relatively high acidity encouraged him to stir the lees a little more than usual.
