Verite La Muse Sonoma County 2015
Jackson and Seillan selected California’s Sonoma County as the ideal location for Vérité’s vineyards. Our vineyards are located in the Bennett Valley, Alexander Valley, Chalk Hill and Knights Valley appellations.
Sonoma County is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions on earth. Due to the influence of the Pacific Ocean, the climate flows from west to east, rather than from north to south. The eastern inland appellations are warm, dry, and ideal for Bordeaux varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The microclimates in each appellation are warm enough to fully ripen red Bordeaux varieties, but cool enough to retain the natural acidity needed to make timeless, age-worthy wines.
"Composed of 90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec, the 2015 La Muse sports a very deep garnet-purple color, leaping from the glass with exuberant crème de cassis, blueberry pie and licorice notes plus suggestions of Indian spices, dark chocolate, menthol, sautéed herbs and potpourri. Full-bodied, rich and seductive in the mouth, it delivers tons of black and blue fruit preserves flavors, accented by exotic spices, framed with velvety tannins and finishing on a persistent earthy/mineral note. 3,900 cases were made.
Drink 2021 - 2055."
