Description

Drought resistant Grenache Blanc vines thrive in Swartland’s granite-rich, sandy soils resulting in this fresh and expressive style.

Made with 100% Grenache Blanc grapes from Swartland. Grenache Blanc thrives here, on deep “koffieklip” soils where production is low due to dryland growing conditions. The combination of clay mixed with small stones gives good water retention while allowing the roots to penetrate deep into the soil. Cool Atlantic breezes shape the grapes’ expressive freshness.

Ripe, peachy aromas on the nose, gently spicy with notes of apricot and dried mango. A pithily generous palate, full flavoured and fleshy with a crisp salinity on the finish.

Creamy pasta and poultry dishes, grilled fish or a lemon risotto.

Swartland

Swartland, located in South Africa's Western Cape, is a dynamic wine region celebrated for its robust and distinctive wines. Its Mediterranean climate, marked by hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters, combined with its varied soil types, creates ideal conditions for viticulture.
The area is renowned for its powerful reds, particularly from Syrah and Grenache, which exhibit bold fruit flavours, spice, and a characteristic earthiness. It also excels in producing expressive Chenin Blancs, known for their richness, complexity, and vibrant acidity.
