Description

Ruby red colour with garnet highlights. Spicy bouquet with vanilla and cloves notes, red fruit and plum jam hints. Soft and intense palate, with fine tannins and long finish.

Ideal with savoury first courses, carpaccio, grilled meat, hard cheese. Serving temperature: 16-18°C, decant 10 minutes before serving.

Grape Variety: Negroamaro, Black Malvasia

Production Area: The Salice Salentino D.O.P. area, provinces of Brindisi and Lecce. Very red soil rich in iron oxides upon a layer of calcareous rock.

Vinification: Destemming and crushing of the grapes, thermo-controlled alcoholic fermentation with skin contact. Pressing and malo-lactic fermentation. Ageing for about 6 months.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C, decant 10 minutes before serving.
