Viña Bujanda Reserva, made of 100% Tempranillo, comes from Rioja Alta and Alavesa areas. The wine is then fermented in stainless steel tanks for 12 days and aged in oak for 24 months in American (70%) and French (30%) oak, and further aged in bottle for 18 months before it is released and ready to enjoy.
The resulting wine is deep purple with garnet highlights. The nose is elegant with hints of cigar box and mature blackberry, plum and sloes. The palate is full-bodied and round, and the finish is long and refined and intensely complex - plum, cacao and mocha notes emerge, alluding to the excellent ageing potential.
The wine will pair exceptionally well with roast meat, game and mature cheeses.
