Description

A deep and jammy malbec with plenty of sweet cherries, blackberries, mocha, pine cones and graphite. A hint of bitter herbs and crushed cocoa beans. Expansive and flavorful, with a very full-bodied palate. Long and very hedonistic. A big, flashy style with unblushingly overripe fruit. Luckily, there is concentration and fine tannins to hold it up. Try in 2025. 93 points

Achaval Ferrer

Established in 1998 in the heart of Mendoza, Achaval Ferrer has become a benchmark for the preservation of viticultural heritage. The winery is committed to maintaining the integrity of centennial vines, combining time-honoured wisdom with passionate craftsmanship to produce wines that truly express the unique terroir. Their philosophy is that the best wines are made in the vineyard, not the winery. Allowing nature to take the lead, ensures that each bottle is a genuine reflection of the vineyard’s unique characteristics.

Mendoza

Mendoza, Argentina's most renowned wine region, is synonymous with exceptional winemaking and world-class wines. Nestled at the foothills of the Andes, Mendoza's high-altitude vineyards benefit from abundant sunshine, cool nights, and minimal rainfall, creating perfect conditions for grape cultivation. The area is particularly famous for its Malbec, offering rich, full-bodied wines with dark fruit flavours and a velvety texture. It also excels in producing excellent Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Torrontés. The diverse terroir, with its variety of soils and microclimates, imparts a unique character to its wines. Mendoza remains a must-visit destination for wine lovers seeking outstanding and memorable wines.
