Aleksic winery was founded in Vranje in 2006, paving the way for the revival of viticulture in southern Serbia. It was founded by three sisters whose love for wine started at an early age through family tradition, passed down from generation to generation. They are proud to bear the title of the first and only female-owned winery in the Balkans and, through their skill, they have managed to become recognised on the domestic and international wine scenes alike.
This Vranac from southern Serbia is dark pink in colour, exudes berry fruit and has good concentration and well-integrated alcohol. It is a wine that develops and reveals more once it has been opened and time passes. A strong red wine with subtle aromas, but a full and juicy body with notes of dark wild fruit, blackberries and sweet currants spice and smoke.
