Description

Deep violet with bright glints. Aromas of fruit such as plum and blackberry on the nose. Varietal aromas reminiscent of orchards, grass and fresh pepper. Notes of violet, liquorice and light lavender. The freshness of eucalyptus alongside wet wool. Medium bodied on the palate with subtle intensity and a moderate finish. Varietal notes of grass, pepper and wet earth.

Marked acidity and smooth, balanced tannins make this an easy drinking wine, refreshing and enjoyable as an aperitif or enjoyed with food. This wine will evolve in bottle over the next year or two.

Serving temperature 12-14°C.

100% Hondarrabi Beltza from vineyards in Bakio, Aldape and Parrales Antiguos. Production was oriented towards achieving the best expression of the terroir and grape variety. Destemming and brief cold maceration. Fermentation with their own yeasts identified in their vineyards. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Minimal use of sulphur.
