Somlo is the smallest wine region in Hungary, situated to the northeast of the country. It is an extinct volcano that protrudes 400 metres above sea level, with distinctive soils and cool growing conditions, resulting in characteristic minerally whites with high acidity. Holass’ interpretation is no exception, with crystalline citrus fruits, a dash of salty, stony minerality and a savoury herbal note.
