The Korrell estate is located in the commune of Bad Kreuznach in the Nahe wine-growing region in Germany. The Korrell family originated in Spain, and has been involved in wine production here for more than 250 years. This was originally a mixed farming operation, but when Wilfried Korrell took over the property in 1967, he converted it to be exclusively a wine-producing operation. He is now assisted by his son Martin, who is responsible for the cellar. The vineyard area totals 23 hectares, the leading grape variety planted is Riesling with 11 hectares planted. The white wines are left on the lees for an extended period, and are bottled relatively early so as the wine can be enjoyed while youthful and energetic.
A delicate and lively pinot blanc with beautifully balanced sweet/acid interplay. On the nose, a flowery, fine scent of yellow fruits such as pear and vine peach leaps forth.
