An intense nose of stone fruit, melon and ripe citrus, with jasmine, fennel and aniseed and a hint of peach. The palate has volume and density yet stays fresh, with apricot, melon and grapefruit. Butterscotch, dried fruit, honey and spice emerge on the finish, showing the wine's affinity with oak.
From Bodegas Urbina, a family-owned single estate in Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón with winemaking dating back to 1870. As a white Crianza, the Viura has been aged in oak barrels before release, adding texture and complexity.
Lovely with roast chicken, grilled fish or creamy mushroom dishes.
