Quady Winery

Founded by Andrew and Laurel Quady. Their path into the wine world began with an exodus from southern California to pursue their dream: a rural way of life making wine. They celebrate the finest quality muscat grapes in single varietal bottlings of fortified Orange and Black Muscat dessert wines. The varieties they use are distinctive, delicious expressions of the fruit filled San Joaquin Valley. These are the wines that solidified Andrew Quady as a sweet wine specialist.

Madera

Madera is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) located in the Central Valley of California, known for its warm climate and diverse range of wines. Established in 1985, the region covers around 38,000 acres and is characterised by hot summers and mild winters, with long growing seasons that contribute to the high sugar levels in grapes. The soils in Madera are predominantly sandy loam, which provide good drainage, essential for vine health in this hot climate. While the area is best known for its fortified wines and dessert wines, such as ports and sherries, Madera also produces a variety of table wines, including Zinfandel, Syrah, and Chardonnay. Many of Madera’s wineries are family-owned and have deep roots in the region, contributing to a rich winemaking tradition. The warm climate, coupled with innovative viticultural practices, allows Madera to produce wines with ripe, bold flavours and a unique sense of place.
