Description

Deep, intense and beautifully expressive, this wine showcases the variety at its finest. A concentrated bouquet of black cherry, sour cherry and blackberry unfolds alongside notes of liquorice, coffee, vanilla, roasted nuts and dark chocolate, with a hint of minerality emerging as it opens in the glass. The palate is rich and structured, with dense tannins and impressive depth, leading to a long finish marked by a subtle peppery note. Aged for 14 months in new French oak barrels and amphorae, followed by 8 months in bottle, it pairs wonderfully with hearty dishes such as rabbit stew, braised beef, lamb or aubergine papoutsaki. Serve at around 18°C.
