Description

Half Bottle

This wine is deep ruby red in colour. The intense and fruity nose displays aromas of red plum and cherry with subtle hints of oak from barrel ageing. Rounded and ripe on the palate, it shows a perfect balance of fruit and well-integrated tannins. There is a hint of spiced berries on the long, elegant finish.

Tenuta di Capezzana

Tenuta di Capezzana, located in Tuscany’s Carmignano region, is one of Italy’s oldest and most historic wine estates, with a winemaking tradition dating back over 1,200 years. The estate practices organic viticulture, focusing on indigenous varieties like Sangiovese alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, which has historic roots in Carmignano.

Grapes are hand-harvested and vinified with minimal intervention to preserve purity. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel, and aging is done in a mix of French oak barrels and larger casks. Capezzana’s wines are known for their elegance, structure, and vibrant fruit, combining Tuscan tradition with refined complexity and excellent aging potential.

Tuscany

Tuscany, one of Italy's most renowned wine regions, is celebrated for its exceptional and diverse wines. Known for its picturesque landscapes and ideal climate, it benefits from a range of terroirs, from rolling hills to coastal areas. The area is particularly famous for its red wines, notably Chianti, made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, which offer bright acidity, cherry flavours, and earthy undertones. It also produces prestigious wines such as Brunello di Montalcino, a full-bodied red with complex flavours and excellent ageing potential, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. For whites, Vernaccia di San Gimignano is noted for its crisp, refreshing character. Tuscany blends traditional winemaking with innovative techniques, offering a rich and varied wine experience.
