Description

The nose is more aromatic, filled with delicate spice. There are fresh raspberry and wild strawberry layers, with wafts of orange peel and fennel. Initially soft and quite shy, the palate slowly unveils an array of delicate red fruits like wild strawberries and red fruit pastilles. The gentle vanilla and subtly seasoned oak cushion a delicate 'cool-climate' Grenache palate picking up the fantastic strawberry theme with echoes of garrigue herbs and fennel. A light-styled wine of just 13%.

Domaine of the Bee

Domaine of the Bee started as one of Justin’s crazy ideas, when he and Amanda were on holiday in 2003 and stumbled across the ancient winemaking village in a valley, in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Luckily, Justin is a Master of Wine, with over twenty years’ experience of wine buying, education, and winemaking in four different countries. Being in the hottest and driest part of France, the grapes ripen well to produce wines deeply coloured and full-bodied in style.

Languedoc-Roussillon

Languedoc-Roussillon, situated in southern France, is renowned for its diverse and high-quality wines. It benefits from a Mediterranean climate, with abundant sunshine, hot summers, and mild winters, ideal for viticulture. Languedoc-Roussillon produces a wide variety of wines, including robust reds from grape varieties like Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, as well as crisp, refreshing whites and rosés. The area is also known for its excellent sparkling wines, particularly Crémant de Limoux. The diverse terroir, ranging from coastal plains to mountainous areas, and a mix of traditional and innovative winemaking techniques result in wines with distinctive character and depth. Languedoc-Roussillon is a must-visit for wine enthusiasts seeking a rich and varied wine experience.
