The Mon Rouge has its origins in the Beaujolais cru of Chiroubles, guided to its destination by Jean-Francois Ganevat in the Jura.
Handled in a similar way to the Madelon Rouge, the Mon Rouge is 100% Gamay, made with the use of semi-carbonic maceration to highlight the fruit and give the wine some lighter, spicier notes. Expect lots of red fruits such as strawberry and raspberry, as well as some hints of cinnamon and even banana. A silky texture and gorgeous mouthfeel just ooze drinkability.
This is a ripe and juicy wine that is sure to please anyone with its elegance and approachability, and it can cellar for a lot longer still.
