Description

Family owned estate located in the heart of Rueda in the town of Navas del Rey. A fresh and vibrant white wine with a character typical of the variety, pale straw-yellow in the glass with greenish highlights from the Verdejo grapes. The nose is very intense with notes of fruit (orange peel and fresh apple), very well put together with spice and balsam (fennel, freshly mown grass and liquorice), resulting in a wine that is fresh and has a very complex bouquet. The finish is long and brings back the fresh fruit (apple, pear combined with the spices of the nose.  Ultimately we have a wine that is elegant, complex, young, fresh and makes you want more.

Dominio de la Granadilla

A dream that came to life in 2015 when the five Descalzo Matos siblings (Luis Alfonso, Roberto, Ana, David and Miguel) built a winery in which they produced the first production of a wine they christened 'La Granadilla', in honour of the place where it is located, in the heart of the Rueda. The family farm 104 hectares of vineyards spread between two Valladolid municipalities with a great winemaking tradition: Villaverde de Medina and Nava del Rey

Castilla Y Leon

Castilla y León, located in north-central Spain, is a prominent wine region known for its rich history and diverse wine offerings. It benefits from a continental climate with hot summers and cold winters, which, along with varied soil types, creates ideal conditions for viticulture.
The area is especially renowned for its robust reds, particularly those made from Tempranillo and Garnacha, which produce complex wines with rich fruit flavours and notable aging potential. It is also known for its whites, including those from Verdejo and Godello, offering fresh, aromatic profiles with crisp acidity.
Historically, Castilla y León has been a significant wine-producing area since ancient times, with a rich heritage that includes the renowned Ribera del Duero and Rueda DOs.
