Highly aromatic, with black fruit and ripe sloe alongside vanilla, spice and tobacco from the barrel and a distinct mineral edge. The palate is rich and intense, with a gentle sweetness of fruit, balanced acidity and great finesse. A long, cool, mineral finish with a touch of fine wood.

The younger sibling of Finca Valpiedra, one of the Grandes Pagos de España. This 100% Tempranillo is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel, then aged for 12 months in French and American oak barriques.

Great with pork, lamb or turkey, and a perfect match for rice with rabbit or a bean casserole.

Finca Valpiedra

Part of the Familia Martinez Bujanda family, Finca Valpiedra is located on one of the most spectacular meanders of the Ebro River, where 80 hectares of vineyards are planted. It is one of the only four large meanders that exist in La Rioja. The vineyard forms a spectacular landscape that is distributed in three terraces that go down to the river itself, and which after years of work, the technical team has divided into fourteen different plots.
