Barrel fermented and aged in 50% new oak, this is a wine that will stand up to many, far more expensive wines from further north in the Côte d'Or. The nose evokes vanilla, baked apples and some tropical notes. The balance between rich fruit and bright acidity is superb.

Manciat-Poncet

The Domaine is comprised of two estates. The estate in Charnay is home to the Mâcon vineyards and came from Claude’s side of the family (Manciat). The estate in Vergisson, home to the Pouilly-Fuissé vineyards, came from Claude’s wife’s side of the family (Poncet). Together they manage 12 hectares of vines, all aged between 40 and 60 years. At Manciat-Poncet they believed that great wine is born in the vineyards and they work hard in their immaculately kept vineyards.
