Mother Rock Kweperfontein Chenin Blanc 2021

Mother Rock is a collaboration between winemaker Johan Meyer and Indigo founder Ben Henshaw. Johan, a rising star in South African wine, has built strong relationships with top grape growers across the Cape, giving him access to some of the region's finest fruit. Spotting a gap in the UK market for high-quality, artisanal South African Chenin at an accessible price, they created Force Celeste, which quickly expanded into a full range under the ‘Mother Rock’ label. These terroir-driven wines focus on drinkability and enjoyment, with beautifully designed labels. Johan recently purchased land in Piketberg, Swartland, where he’s building a winery and planting vines, aiming to produce his own fruit by 2023. Mother Rock celebrates South Africa’s diverse terroir, and we eagerly anticipate the future of this exciting project.
