Allegrini

The Allegrini family has been making wine in Valpolicella, northern Italy for several generations in the townships of Fumane, Sant`Ambrogio and Marano. Although they have been growing grapes here for several centuries, Giovanni Allegrini was the first to start bottling wines from the family’s vineyards. When he died in 1983, he passed a passion for and a commitment to quality wine onto his three children – Walter, Marilisa and Franco. They worked together to build on Giovanni’s quality ethos until Walter’s death in 2003. Franco now looks after the vineyards and the winemaking, while Marilisa takes charge of sales and marketing.

Veneto

Veneto, a prominent wine region in northeastern Italy, is renowned for its diverse and high-quality wines. Encompassing a range of climates and terrains, it is particularly famous for its sparkling Prosecco, made primarily from the Glera grape, which offers vibrant, fruity flavours and refreshing acidity. It also excels in producing rich reds like Amarone della Valpolicella, a powerful wine made from partially dried grapes, and Valpolicella Ripasso, known for its depth and complexity. The region’s whites, such as Soave and Pinot Grigio, are noted for their crisp, clean profiles. With its blend of traditional and innovative winemaking, Veneto provides a captivating and varied wine experience.
