Rich, mature and complex, with ripe figs, cherries, plums, tomato jam and dried apricot alongside cigar box, leather and spices of cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. The palate is harmonious and velvety, with oak and fruit tannins fully integrated. Elegant and long, with an enduring, gently savoury finish.
Made from Tempranillo grown on the family estate in Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón, on the north-western edge of Rioja. As a Gran Reserva it has spent years in oak and bottle, and has been held back at the bodega until fully mature.
Ideal with roast game, slow-cooked lamb or a board of aged cheeses.
