Description

By Farr Wines is a family-owned and operated winery that has been producing world-class wines since 1994. The winery is located in the heart of the Moorabool Valley, where the cool climate and unique terroir provide the perfect conditions for producing exceptional Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Shiraz.

This wine has a very firm structure with more savoury components than the other two Pinots from By Farr. It has a balanced array of red and black fruit and is both fresh and edgy. Deep meaty, spicy and mineral notes continue to evolve thanks to the character of the vineyards. This is a firm yet delicate wine with a long, textured finish.

By Farr

The Farr estate is located in the Moorabool Valley between Geelong and Ballarat, 100km southwest of Melbourne, Australia. Grape growing in this region dates back more than 200 years, with Swiss settlers planting Victoria’s first vineyards here in the early 1800s. Gary and Robyn Farr purchased the original property in 1994 and the site was expanded by their son Nick and Cassie Farr in 2011. Nick and Gary Farr stand side by side, but aren’t afraid to go head-to-head when their opinions differ. By Farr by Gary, and Farr Rising by Nick—have received critical acclaim both in Australia and overseas.

South Australia
