Description

Intense red, with violet hues. Tastes friendly with soft tannins, with outstanding red fruit and a spicy finish.

"Six months in oak barrels. Roasted red-pepper and cranberry nose, and then into fireworks of sweet, chilli-pepper smoky, cheeky fruit smeared in tomato jam and a touch of basil leaf. Light-touch tannins. Mouth-watering. I eat very little pasta, but all this wine makes me feel like is a giant bowl of spaghetti alle vongole. A wine that belongs on a long, stained, burn-marked wooden kitchen table with pots of steaming food and bowls laden with bright salads. A wine that should be drunk in the hubbub noise of family and friends."

Edetaria

Joan Àngel Lliberia spent his childhood amongst vineyards, his undying passion for wine called him back to his origins to set up Edetària, in Terra Alta DO in the extreme south of Catalunya. Named after the ‘Via Edetana’, the old Roman trade route from Torotosa to Zaragoza that passed through the estate. Increasingly the region is being recognised for its potential to produce ‘Garnatxa’-based wines of equal quality to its more famous neighbours in the north.

Catalunya

Catalunya, located in northeastern Spain, is a prominent and diverse wine region known for its rich history and wide range of high-quality wines. The region enjoys a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and mild winters, ideal for viticulture. Catalunya is renowned for its exceptional Cava, a sparkling wine produced mainly in the Penedès region, known for its freshness and complexity and the area also excels in producing robust reds from varieties such as Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Cariñena, which offer rich fruit flavours and well-structured profiles. White wines, including those from the Xarel·lo and Macabeo grapes, are celebrated for their crispness and aromatic qualities.
