Description

Step into the world of fine Italian wine with a visit to the “Cantine Franco” winery, founded by the legendary Antonio Franco in 1919. Nestled at the foot of the majestic Prealps in the Venetian region, this winery has been producing some of the finest Prosecco vine and wine for over a century.

Tantalize your senses with a complex bouquet of fruit salad, peach, apple and lime mingled with the heady scents of wisteria and orange flowers. As you take a sip, you'll experience the same intensity on your palate, complemented by a perfect balance of acidity. This wine boasts a fresh fruit flavour, elegant depth and a fine, persistent finish. It pairs perfectly with delicate oysters and salty fishes but is also surprisingly pleasant with flavorful salami.

Nino Franco

Antonio Franco was an honest wine merchant. His son Giovanni , known as Nino , began producing sparkling wines. But it was the “quiet revolution” of Primo Franco , his nephew, that ignited the spark of change, opening the doors of the best restaurants in the world to his Prosecco di Valdobbiadene. Today, after a century of history, Nino Franco is the icon of Prosecco di Valdobbiadene.

Veneto

Veneto, a prominent wine region in northeastern Italy, is renowned for its diverse and high-quality wines. Encompassing a range of climates and terrains, it is particularly famous for its sparkling Prosecco, made primarily from the Glera grape, which offers vibrant, fruity flavours and refreshing acidity. It also excels in producing rich reds like Amarone della Valpolicella, a powerful wine made from partially dried grapes, and Valpolicella Ripasso, known for its depth and complexity. The region’s whites, such as Soave and Pinot Grigio, are noted for their crisp, clean profiles. With its blend of traditional and innovative winemaking, Veneto provides a captivating and varied wine experience.
