Based in the village of Pfaffenheim, Pierre Frick and his family have been crafting wines that embody the unique terroir of Alsace while adhering to the highest standards of sustainability and environmental stewardship.
The Frick family has been farming in Alsace for generations, but it was Pierre Frick who, in the late 1970s, made the decisive shift towards organic viticulture, and later, biodynamic practices. The estate spans around 12 hectares, planted with the classic Alsatian varietals, including Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, and Sylvaner. These vineyards, some of which are located in prestigious Grand Cru sites, are cultivated without synthetic chemicals, using composts, cover crops, and preparations that enhance the health and vitality of the soil and vines.
