Description

Fresh, easy-drinking Italian blended white wine. Made by the much loved Rocca Delle Macie winery, this is a really delicious blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. Hints of white flowers, apple and pears on the nose. On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied with a pleasant aromatic finish. The wine is lively and vibrant. We find that this wine works well with salads, fish and fine summer fayre.

Straccali

Established in 1925 by Giulio Straccali, the Straccali Wine estate is situated in the heart of Tuscany. In 1978 the Zingarelli family of the Chianti estate of Rocca delle Macie began a long and fruitful relationship with Straccali that continues to this day. United by a shared dream set out by Giulio Straccali many decades earlier, the two families have pursued the same objective: to invite the world to discover the tantalising flavours of Tuscany, using wine as the ambassador.

Tuscany

Tuscany, one of Italy's most renowned wine regions, is celebrated for its exceptional and diverse wines. Known for its picturesque landscapes and ideal climate, it benefits from a range of terroirs, from rolling hills to coastal areas. The area is particularly famous for its red wines, notably Chianti, made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, which offer bright acidity, cherry flavours, and earthy undertones. It also produces prestigious wines such as Brunello di Montalcino, a full-bodied red with complex flavours and excellent ageing potential, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. For whites, Vernaccia di San Gimignano is noted for its crisp, refreshing character. Tuscany blends traditional winemaking with innovative techniques, offering a rich and varied wine experience.
