Description

The Domaine Jamet Collines Rhodaniennes Syrah is a vibrant and expressive take on northern Rhône Syrah. Aromas of wild raspberry, crushed violet, and cured black olive rise from the glass, layered with hints of cracked pepper and smoky earth. The palate is lively and pure, with fresh red and black fruits supported by sleek tannins and a lifted, mineral-driven finish. There’s a subtle meaty undertone and a touch of flint that adds depth without weight. Though youthful, its structure and finesse echo its Côte-Rôtie roots, offering a graceful, early-drinking expression with surprising complexity and charm.

Domaine Jamet

Domaine Jamet lies on a plateau, known as "Le Vallin", on the steep slopes of the Côte-Rôtie hills, these are the wonderful terroirs that give their character to these glorious wines. Entering the storehouse, nature and simplicity seem to be the Jamet family's key words, focused on the artisanal nature of the place. This is where Jean-Paul, his wife Corinne and, more recently their elder son Loïc cultivate vines and wines with a passion.

Northern Rhone

The Northern Rhône, a prestigious wine region in southeastern France, is celebrated for its exceptional Syrah-based red wines and aromatic white wines. Characterised by its steep, terraced vineyards along the Rhône River, it benefits from a continental climate with hot summers and cold winters, ideal for viticulture. The Northern Rhône is particularly renowned for its powerful and elegant red wines from Syrah, notably from appellations like Côte-Rôtie, Hermitage, and Cornas. It also produces exquisite white wines from Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne, especially in Condrieu and Saint-Joseph. The unique terroir, combined with traditional winemaking techniques, imparts distinctive flavours and complexity to the wines. The Northern Rhône offers a remarkable experience for wine enthusiasts seeking some of France's finest and most storied wines.
