Description

The ‘Dino’ is made with 100% Sangiovese and remains for 12 months on its skins without sulphites in orci (amphorae) made at the Manetti terracotta factory. The orci rest in the cellar at the ambient temperature of 14°C and 80% humidity, perfect conditions for a slow evolution.

Lovely ruby colour in the glass with purple hues. On the nose, balsamic herbal aromas, as well as classic cherry, blackberry and tobacco notes. On the palate, the wine is incredibly complex with pronounced flavours of balsamic herbs, sweet tobacco and hints of cherry. The finish is long and persistent.

Fontodi

Fontodi has belonged to the Manetti family since 1968. The family has been associated for centuries with another activity typical of the Chianti region, the production of its famous “terrecotte” tiles. And it is in the name of this strong link with the territory and a great passion for quality that the estate has moved successfully towards an ever more attentive cultivation of the vineyards and a more profound knowledge of the potential of Sangiovese in the zone of Panzano.

Tuscany

Tuscany, one of Italy's most renowned wine regions, is celebrated for its exceptional and diverse wines. Known for its picturesque landscapes and ideal climate, it benefits from a range of terroirs, from rolling hills to coastal areas. The area is particularly famous for its red wines, notably Chianti, made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, which offer bright acidity, cherry flavours, and earthy undertones. It also produces prestigious wines such as Brunello di Montalcino, a full-bodied red with complex flavours and excellent ageing potential, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. For whites, Vernaccia di San Gimignano is noted for its crisp, refreshing character. Tuscany blends traditional winemaking with innovative techniques, offering a rich and varied wine experience.
