Description

From 'The King of Riesling', this hard rock site is overlaid with silty, low fertility soils, producing restrained, steely, pure wines. The Polish Hill vineyard was planted in 1996, following years of research into the effect of soil, rock and altitude on Riesling. It has floral aromas of violets, lavender and lime blossom. The palate is powerful, with intense flavours of lime juice and a tight, linear structure. There are hints of schist and a crisp acidity on the long finish.
