Please note this is a Half Bottle

Built at the beginning of the 19th century, this château was purchased by Hervé Duboscq, owner of the famous Château Marbuzet, in 1962.

The wines are matured in three-year-old oak barrels for 18 months. They draw their unusual character from the clay-limestone soil, which contrasts with the gravelly soil found in other vineyards in Saint-Estèphe.

This cru bourgeois comes from a gravelly terroir with a clay-limestone sub-soil. The domain (Château Haut-Marbuzet) has favoured careful traditional farming and manual harvesting. The wine is aged in barriques (25% new wood) and unfurls an intense ruby hue which exudes notes of very ripe, almost candied, red fruit. We find notes of vanilla and woodiness, testimony of its time in wood. The dense palate is marked by wonderful freshness.

Chateau Tour de Marbuzet

Château Tour de Marbuzet, situated in the prestigious Saint-Estèphe appellation of Bordeaux, is known for producing elegant, age-worthy wines that reflect the power and finesse of the Left Bank. The estate cultivates Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc on gravel and clay soils, ideal for structured, expressive reds. Traditional winemaking methods are key, including manual harvesting, long maceration for depth of flavour, and ageing in French oak barrels to add complexity. The resulting wines offer rich dark fruit, firm tannins, and earthy, spicy undertones, capturing the robust yet refined character typical of Saint-Estèphe terroir.

Bordeaux

Bordeaux, one of the most prestigious wine regions in the world, is located in southwestern France and is celebrated for its exceptional wines. It benefits from a temperate maritime climate, influenced by the nearby Atlantic Ocean, providing ideal conditions for viticulture. It is particularly renowned for its red wines, primarily blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, offering rich, complex flavours and excellent ageing potential. Notable sub-regions include Médoc, Saint-Émilion, and Pomerol. Bordeaux also produces exquisite white wines, both dry, from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, and sweet, from the Sauternes and Barsac areas. The region's unique terroir, combined with centuries-old winemaking traditions, results in wines of unparalleled quality and distinction. Bordeaux remains a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts seeking world-class wines and a rich viticultural heritage.
