Description

The Casablanca Valley enjoys privileged climatic conditions for producing both red and white grapes. Carmenere and Merlot have both shown excellent results here due to the long ripening period that they need. The temperate climate is influenced by the cool air currents from the Pacific and gives rise to a special Merlot with a rich fruit character, balanced acidity, and elegance in its components.

The Nimbus Estate Merlot is a deep violet-ruby-red colour with a wide range of red and black fruit aromas such as blackberries, blueberries, and raisins that blend harmoniously with an elegant touch of French oak. Its round tannins lend a delicious velvety texture. Complex and elegant, this Merlot is the perfect example of the true potential of Casablanca Valley terroir.

Try with spaghetti bolognese and beef bourgignon.

Vina Casablanca

Viña Casablanca is the boutique winery of the Carolina Wine Brands holding company, one of the main wine groups in Chile, which has been producing and marketing high-quality wines for consumers around the world for 150 years. They are a modern winery with a contemporary winemaking style that dares to experiment with unconventional varieties, different terroirs and bold pairings.

Aconcagua Region

The Aconcagua Region in Chile, named after the towering Aconcagua Mountain, is a prominent wine-producing area known for its diverse terroirs and high-quality wines. This region, located north of Santiago, benefits from a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cool nights, ideal for viticulture. The Aconcagua Valley and the Aconcagua Costa sub-regions offer distinct wine profiles due to their varied climates and soils.

The Aconcagua Valley is renowned for its robust red wines, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, which showcase rich, concentrated flavours and excellent structure. Meanwhile, the Aconcagua Costa, closer to the Pacific Ocean, excels in producing elegant, cool-climate wines like Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, characterized by vibrant acidity and complex aromas.
