This wine is a blend of a number of Chardonnay vineyard blocks from Bien Nacido and Dierberg in Santa Maria Valley along with pieces of holdings down in the Santa Rita Hills. The wine sees less than 10% new wood and is left to rest on its lees for about a year before it is moved to tank for the last few months prior to bottling to ensure the wine's tension, elegance and precision.
Orchard fruit, baked apple, white flowers and mint notes. Amazing acidity and buckets of ripe fruit. Delicious.

Justin Tyler Willett began Tyler in 2005 at the age of 24 with a few barrels tucked away in the corner of the Sta. Rita Hills cellar he was working in at the time. It was there, as the assistant winemaker, he honed his approach to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Justin – a champion of old vines – has since engaged the famed historic vineyards of Santa Barbara, including the region-defining Sanford & Benedict, in the Santa Rita Hills.
