A blend of 37% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 56% Cabernet Sauvignon. Light crimson in colout and slightly gravelly on the nose. Sweet to start, followed by dusty tannins with a fruity core structure.

Jean-François de Pontet acquired the Canet estate in 1781 thus Château Pontet-Canet was born. A century later, Château Pontet-Canet experienced an extraordinary period of prosperity during the famous classification of 1855 Château Pontet-Canet appeared on the list of Grands Crus Classés of the Médoc. In almost three centuries, Château Pontet-Canet has had only three families as owners. The current owners, the Tesseron’s, have held the property for 3 generations and they continue to strive for excellence while making innovative changes.
