Description

Akin is inspired by terroir and its unique character, by wine aromas and the winemaking process. A French distilled gin produced exclusively with organic ingredients, offering a product with a balance of aromas between gin and wine.

Batch N°1 is their first creation. This gin combines the aromas of juniper berries with the red fruit and white flower notes associated with Bordeaux's Right Bank region. Fresh and intense, it will enchant you with its subtly spicy flavours.

The base spirit of this gin is made from grapes, providing smoothness and elegance. The different botanicals are divided into several flavour categories, each contributing towards the perfect balance: the gin essentials, the spices, the fruity / floral and the woody.

To preserve the link between both worlds and provide complexity to the gin, they macerate wood chips that were used in the winemaking process. The macerate is then gently and delicately distilled before entering the final blend.

The nose is very expressive, structured around exciting notes of red fruits. The emblematic aromas of gin are coupled with light hints of white flowers and underlying vegetal notes.

On the palate the attack is smooth with a generous sweetness. Floral aromas appear first, followed by the freshness of citrus fruits tinged with spices. Raspberry sublimates the tasting with a lingering aftertaste.
