Description

From some of the highest plateaus in the appellation with very old vines, the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Piedlong contains only 85% Grenache (50% whole cluster), while the balance is Mourvedre. It offers a lovely array of floral and herbal notes layered over raspberry and cherry fruit on the nose, while the palate is full-bodied but seemingly weightless. Fine and elegant already, it finishes long, with pure, almost crystalline lattice-like fruit and silky tannins.

Brunier

It was Henri Brunier who gave birth to this beautiful family story in 1891. A few generations later, at the very beginning of the 80s, Frédéric and Daniel took over the destiny of the family business in tandem. In 2015 and 2016, Nicolas, son of Frédéric and Edouard, son of Daniel, entered the history of the Old Telegraph, fully integrating the company in key positions. Manon, daughter of Frédéric, joined them in 2018.

Southern Rhone

The Southern Rhône, a renowned wine region in southeastern France, is celebrated for its diverse and robust wines. Benefiting from a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters, it is ideal for viticulture. The Southern Rhône is famous for its blends, particularly from Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, producing rich, full-bodied reds with complex flavours of dark fruit, spices, and herbs. Châteauneuf-du-Pape is the most prestigious appellation, known for its powerful and age-worthy wines. It also excels in producing aromatic whites and refreshing rosés. With its varied terroir and traditional winemaking techniques, the Southern Rhône offers a captivating wine experience for enthusiasts seeking high-quality and flavourful wines.
