Description

Brisk and begging for food, Colombera & Garella Rosso alternates waves of wild cherry and red currant fruit with ferrous minerals, underbrush, and blond leather. Focused, vibrant, and totally soil transparent, Colombera & Garella’s Rosso finishes with firm, dusty tannins and suggestions of finely ground white pepper, cinnamon bark, rose petals and button mushrooms. Perfect for barbeques, stews, braises, pizzas, pastas, and recipes spotlighting mushrooms or buckwheat. Enjoy now and over the coming five years.

Colombera & Garella

The Colombera & Garella winery is located in Masserano, in Northern Piedmont. It began in 1992, when Carlo and Michela bought a ruined house and a collection of neighbouring vineyards in the village of Masserano, Cascina Cottignano. Since then the vineyard has expanded. But they have always grown native grape varieties in their 9.5 hectares of vineyards between the villages of Lessona, Masserano and Roasio. The Colombera & Garella philosophy is about applying sustainable viticulture, avoiding chemical weeding and seeking the utmost respect for the environment.

Piedmont

Piedmont or Piemonte, located in northwestern Italy, is renowned for its prestigious and diverse wines. The region's varied climate and rich soils, particularly in the Langhe and Monferrato areas, are ideal for viticulture. It is famous for its robust reds, especially Barolo and Barbaresco, both made from the Nebbiolo grape, known for their complex aromas, rich tannins, and ageing potential. It also excels in Barbera, producing wines with vibrant acidity and cherry notes, and Dolcetto, offering fruit-forward, approachable reds. On the white side, Gavi, made from the Cortese grape, is known for its crisp, refreshing character. Piemonte’s blend of traditional winemaking techniques and modern innovations offers a rich and sophisticated wine experience.
